It is coming close to that time of year again where resolutions are made (and usually broken a few days later).
Although your PC might not help you go to the gym, go easy on the chocolate or learn a foreign language it can help you stop smoking. Maybe. Here we will have a look at a free internet download that promises to do just that.
How does it work? It is an add-on to the Mozilla Firefox internet explorer, which you can also download for free if you don't already have it. It very simply gives you encouraging / annoying messages telling how long since you last lit up, how much many you saved, how great you are doing etc.
You need to download the small app and then restart Firefox and click into 'Add-ons' on your toolbar. You then select Quitomzilla and go into the options. You can then stub out the cigarette hanging from your lips and type in the time and date of when you last smoked. Rather strangely, you can go and put in 1990 as the date you last smoked, although if you've been so long without a cigarette then you probably don't need this program anyway.
The program lets you make up some of the messages yourself and if you are looking for some extra encouragement you might find this fairly useful, although if your addiction is stronger than you then it is probably stronger than the occasional pop up message too.
